Running in a loincloth from a lion in the savannah

I don’t know if you’ve seen that image.
Someone sent it to me on WhatsApp, so I assume it must be all over social media.

The image is eye-opening.
And honestly, not unexpected.

It shows two brains.

One is the brain of someone working the old-school way. “A pelo”, as we say in Spanish… or “a Puerta gayola”.
And the other is someone using ChatGPT to work.

The brain of the poor soul grinding it out manually, like a farmer without a tractor, is lit up like a Christmas tree. Full of colors. Bursting at the seams.

The other brain?

A few faint colors here and there… probably like the butt of the guy on the tractor—relaxed, comfy, no drama… Instead of out there helping the mule plow the damn field!

People refuse to see the future.

Makes me wonder what the brain of someone scrolling TikTok or Instagram all day looks like.
Would it even show any color at all?

Or just sit there deader than a grilled amoeba?

Still, this image must be everywhere… even WhatsApp managed to deliver it to me.

Anyway… just thinking out loud.

I wonder what the comparison would be between the brain of someone working and the brain of some guy in a loincloth running from a lion in the middle of the savannah…
Now that’s gotta light up the scanner!

Anyway, as I was saying
If you want to keep working your whole life just to earn a miserable government pension, that’s your call.
I’m sure your brain will light up just fine.
Full of beautiful colors… like loincloths and savannahs.
I get it—maybe all that brain activity is better than building a real estate empire on the side and working less and less over time.
I get it.
There’s no comparison…. Or as we say in Spanish, “no hay color”, “no color”.

But me? I prefer the flat brainwave. So I’m all in on doing more and more with less.

Some men see things as they are and say, “Why?” I dream things that never were and say, “Why not? -------- Robert Kennedy’s Some people are so obsessed and absorbed in their tiny realities that pulling them out is impossible. At a conference, someone asked the speaker whether a €50,000 salary was good in Spain. The speaker asked if they meant per month or per week. I don’t think that the rest of the world is so different. I don’t know what your plan is when arriving to that age. Considering that you don’t want to be in the first group… what’s your plan? It’s the weekend and you’re off to brunch. One of those trendy cafés. You’re calmly sipping your latte. And then you see them coming. A mob. One of those “meet-ups.” Apparently they organize through an app… or so my wife tells me. They meet up and go exercise together. No fewer than a hundred. All headed to our café. $300 sneakers, skin-tight - very tight - Lululemon leggings at $200 per leg, Hugo Boss caps at $50 per ear… You get the picture. On average, about $1,000 in “athleisure.” They...
