Staying on a dead end is madness. You know it. But your reptile brain keeps you down. Quiet. Without moving. There are too many dangers outside the tribe. Too much fear. This is the reason why: People stay in marriages where there is no longer any love People stay at dead-end jobs People hang on to old clothes and things they never use People stay in towns where they have no future People stay friends with people who hold them back Too comfy to move. Too comfy to admit that the absence of movement is killing you silently… but faster than you think. If you don’t practice a language, you lose it in a couple of years. If you don’t do any sport, your muscles atrophy in months. If you don’t use your brain, the absence of creativity, ideas, motivation will fill your day to day in months. This is why is so critical to be exposed to new stimuli. Exposed to people that challenge you. Expose to difficult tasks. Exposed to new things. Complaining is not movement. Taking actions, getting into something new is. Below, some notes of movement for your brain.

They do not want the Minister asking questions. They do not want the newspaper headline. They do not want the contractor collapsing. They do not...
January 2009. Tropicana, PepsiCo’s orange juice brand, was the undisputed leader in the US. Its flagship product, Pure Premium, was generating more than $700 million a year. A beautiful business. So what does a company do when everything is going really well? Sometimes, it overthinks. And screws it up. Someone in an office decided that the old packaging, the iconic orange with a straw stuck into it, was outdated. It needed to be modernised. It needed to be brought into the present. You know...
Look. Capital does not flow into PPPs because the project is important. Or because the Government wants it. Or because the infrastructure is badly needed. This is something many get wrong. Capital flows when the project makes sense. When revenues are clear. When risks sit with the parties best able to manage them. When governance works. When the financial model survives serious scrutiny. When the documents answer difficult questions before investors ask them. In summary, when money can...
