A few days ago, I had a conversation with a great entrepreneur.

He is in a new venture.

He tries to implement AI in small and medium size building.

The progress is slow.

Not the kind of exponential growth that AI promises.

​

The slogan?

​

We help you to make more money with less. More profit. More growth.

​

I explained him something.

People don’t want to make more money.

They say they want, but they lie… to you and to themselves.

They prefer an easy life.

A life without risk.

And about AI… well… they may feel some concerns about missing out.

The famous FOMO. Fear Of Missing Out.

​

Codie Sanchez uses to say: “Don’t give people vitamins, give them painkillers”.

​

The fear to lose is 100 more powerful than the fear to win.

​

Go to a casino.

See people making 100€. Their faces and expressions.

Check now people losing 100€. Their faces of disappointment.

​

Your reptilian brain is designed to survive.

It’s extremely primitive.

You don’t want to lose all your hard work… and prefer to protect the 100k€ or 100k$ you have saved much more than wining an extra 100k€.

This has been demonstrated through studies over and over.

So, I think that people would pay more attention to a slogan like this:

Don’t let your “cuñao” (in-law) tell you about AI. If so, you’ll be wiped out of business

​

But that’s my opinion…

At the end, with which of these sentences I will make more money today?

Or

​Unless you start making serious investments now, at retirement, you’ll be at the mercy of government. And if you think your president is bad now… wait and see. ​
